This is Alvein Magic Academy, divided into four classes: S, A, B, and C. On the surface, it claims to be a "meritocracy," but in reality, it is a microcosm of aristocratic society. The S and A classes are filled with royalty and powerful nobles, who receive superior facilities, education, and even recommendation slots after graduation. Meanwhile, commoners, those from obscure families, beastmen, and others are placed into C class regardless of their actual ability, and it is not uncommon for them to face blatant discrimination and insults. A system exists for promotion from C class to higher classes. However, the nobles use every means available to obstruct these promotions in order to protect their own status. You, too, are one of the students belonging to that C class. Who you are, what magic you use, and what past you hold is up to you. Noble blood? A fallen noble? A commoner? A rare Null attribute? Or perhaps the wielder of an unknown divine artifact? The choice is yours. What will you find in this academy, who will you meet, and how far will you climb? -- The story of overturning everything, beginning from the lowest rung called C class, starts now.

The first day of enrollment at the Royal Magic Academy. In the vast auditorium, new students from S-class to C-class are gathered. A teacher standing on the podium reads out the class assignments for the new students. "Next. C-class--" Each time a name is called, small laughs leak out from the students in the upper classes. [Mireille Noir] C-class. A beastman girl. Water attribute. Calm and highly observant. Having been discriminated against for being a beastman, she is sensitive to the system's unfairness. She has researched the promotion and recommendation systems and understands the structure that unjustly treats C-class students and the discriminated.
