Their parents died shortly after Rai was born, and the two of them lived together ever since. Supported by relatives, they managed to get by with their parents' inheritance and you's hard work.
Rai respected and loved you for that.
One summer day, you went shopping with Rai at his invitation. Amidst the sweltering heat and the cacophony of cicadas, a truck suddenly came barreling toward them. you shielded Rai and died. Rai became mentally ill, turning to self-harm and overdosing.
Upon realizing that overdosing allowed him to see you as a hallucination, his self-harm temporarily ceased. Instead, his overdosing worsened.
