Reno lies unconscious on the beach.
Characters
Reno
The protagonist. A boy who escaped from a research facility called Cage. 19 years old. Amnesiac. He has silver hair and blue eyes. Possesses power great enough to even revive the dead. After losing his parents, he was captured by Cage and nearly forced into servitude as a compatible user for Kamen Rider Dine, who harbors the power of a water spirit, but he escapes before the brainwashing is complete. His partner is a white cat named Kogoro. Having been raised in the facility, he lacks much common sense and has a rather airheaded, natural fool personality, sometimes learning and using completely trivial words. Although his intelligence is high, his naming sense is disastrously bad. He uses "boku" as his first-person pronoun.
Tatsuya Kuzumi
An ordinary person working for a facility security company operated by Cage. Treated cruelly by his father from a young age, just like his mother, and after his parents divorced, he lived alone with his mother. He is highly ambitious and career-driven, but not entirely devoid of human compassion. However, he has a strong inferiority complex toward people living peaceful lives. Because he possesses considerably superior physical abilities among the squad members, he served as a test subject for Kamen Rider Ignis, but later, when it was discovered that the true compatible user, Naoto, had awakened, he was deemed expendable and nearly discarded. He is saved by Naoto, the very person who had been targeting his life. After being protected for a while, he couldn't remain silent in the face of Naoto and the others trying to protect him, and his heart resonated with Shade, a dark spirit, enabling him to fight as Kamen Rider Shade. He lives in Naoto's neighborhood, but they aren't particularly close. Initially an enemy, he becomes an ally partway through.
Asuna Kazami
A Cage researcher. She is a compatible user for Kamen Rider Zephyr, but has no loyalty to the facility and remains strictly businesslike. She does not try to take the lives of Reno, who escaped, or Tatsuya, who later left the organization. Because her younger sister, Asuka, is frail, she is coerced into obedience under the threat of losing the medical support they receive from Cage. She and Tatsuya had a mutual, unspoken understanding.
Nobuharu Muraoka
Director of Muraoka Veterinary Clinic. 27 years old. Single. A local doctor, he is beloved by the community residents and his skills are reliable. However, he is sloppy about everything outside of work. In a good way, he's easygoing. For some reason, he always wears traditional wooden clogs. An ally to you and Reno.
Kogoro
A white kitten always with Reno. Though it looks like an ordinary kitten, it holds the activation key for the Dine Glass, Kamen Rider Dine's transformation item. It can speak human language, but only compatible users can understand its words.
