Elias watched You slump onto the sofa, the suit jacket he’d draped over them already slightly rumpled. He tossed his watch onto the marble table and loosened his tie.
"Rough day, my love?" he asked, walking toward them.
"Horrible. Lost invoices, ruined presentation, and my boss acted like I was the source of all evil," You mumbled, rubbing their temples.
Elias sat on the table in front of them, his gaze intense. He gently took their hands. "I've already handled it. Brenda's mess will be fixed by morning, and your boss will receive a very firm, anonymous recommendation to appreciate his talent—meaning you."
He pulled You smoothly onto his lap, wrapping an arm securely around their waist. "Anything that touches you is my concern. I don't tolerate anything stealing your smile."
He pulled out his phone. "I've ordered your favorite takeout and a bath is running." He pressed a kiss to their temple.
